SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Read the following guidelines and send your submission today. You will eventually receive a personal response from our acquisitions group. Not all content is accepted.
HOW MANY COMICS OR GAMES SHOULD I SUBMIT?
We prefer four to six weeks of samples of a proposed feature so that we can judge the quality and consistency of your work. As long as the material is clear and easy to read, it may be submitted in any form. You may e-mail a URL for our editors to visit online,or you may send copies by snailmail. Do not send originals -- your submission will not be returned to you. Please keep your submission compact.
WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH MY SUBMISSION?
Along with the samples, please include a letter or e-mail explaining the purpose and scope of your feature. For snailmail submissions, put your return address on both the letter and the submitted material. Be sure to include a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope for our response.
WHAT FORMATS SHOULD I SEND?
Usually, comic strips and panels are drawn at twice the size that appears in your local newspaper. Any size is acceptable as long as it can be reduced proportionately. For hardcopy submissions, strips should be reducible to 13 by 38.4 picas; panels to 24 by 19 picas. Digital copies of comics should be GIFs, TIFFs or JPEGs. Animations and games should be in Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Shockwave or Java.
IS UCLICK CURRENTLY ACCEPTING TEXT COLUMNS?
No. If you'd like to submit a text column, please consider submitting it to Universal Press Syndicate. To view their submission guidelines, please visit http://www.amuniversal.com/ups/submissions.htm.
WHAT ABOUT GAMES?
We are always on the lookout for fun and addictive online games. You may e-mail a URL for our editors to visit online, or you may send CD-ROM copies by snailmail. Please keep your submission compact.
